THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT VOLUNTEERING

Ø  Volunteer hours are M – F during store hours; Saturday opportunities are reserved for SVdP special projects which will be posted as those arise.  

Ø  We utilize both long-term and short-term volunteers.

Ø  We can accommodate groups of 3 – 5 adults.

Ø  Youth ages 16 – 17 in a group of 3 – 5 will require an adult chaperone who is over the age of 18.

Ø  Individual youth ages 13 – 15 may volunteer with an adult chaperone present.

Ø  Applications are processed weekly. 

Ø  *We are currently not accepting volunteers for court-ordered community service.

SHORT-TERM VOLUNTEER SERVICE

1) Complete and submit an online volunteer application.

2) Give as much information about your situation as possible.

3) Someone will reach out to you to discuss available volunteer opportunities that align with your availability.

LONG-TERM VOLUNTEER SERVICE

1) Complete and submit an online volunteer application.

2) When the SVdP staff reaches out to you, let them know you are interested in an ongoing volunteer experience.

3) Note: A background check must be completed prior to long-term volunteering.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Ø  Merchandising & organizing product on the sales floor

Ø  Hang clothing

Ø  Cleaning projects: inside and outside (dependent upon weather)
